Spy Words rules
Spy Words is the team game where a single word is worth gold. Two teams, a grid of 25 words on the phone. Only the spymasters see the secret map showing which words belong to whom.
The spymaster gives one word and a number, and their team taps the words on the screen. As long as they keep finding them, they keep going. But watch out for the Bomb: one wrong move and it's game over.
An example round
Léa is the Red captain. Only she knows “Moon” and “Rocket” belong to her team. She says “Space, 2”: 2 words in the grid go with Space, find them! Malik taps Moon: red, nice! Then Star… neutral: turn over, Blue team's turn.
4 to 16 players · a single phone · offline
- 1Make 2 teams (red and blue), each one picks its captain
- 2Only the captains look at the secret key: it shows which words are their team's, the other team's, nobody's (neutral)… and where the bomb is
- 3On their turn, the captain says out loud ONE word that goes with several of their team's words, then how many. E.g. “Space, 2” = 2 words in the grid go with Space, find them! Then they stay silent
- 4Their team taps the words they think are right. Team word: keep going. Neutral or other team's: end of turn. Done early? One tap on “Over to Blue”. (Optional: tap the number the captain said to allow that number + 1 guesses)
- 5The bomb = instant defeat. The first team to find all its words (9 or 8) wins!
